J. Nathan Gray, DMD
Nathan is a native of Clanton, AL, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Auburn University. He chose to pursue dentistry as a profession because of his attention to fine detail, love of problem solving and desire to make a difference in his community. He spent a gap year in Homewood through the Briarwood Fellows as an intern at Dr. Friday’s office, the original owner here. He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where he met his wife, Mechay, on the first day of orientation. The rest is history! Together, they have gone on dental mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Nate, as he is known around the office, is passionate about seeking excellence in his work, putting patients at ease, and helping others build confidence through a flourishing, beautiful smile. He is a self-proclaimed sucker for a good before and after picture! He enjoys spending his free time working with his hands, playing music, flyfishing, hiking and being a dad to his son and two daughters.
Dr. Nate is a proud member of the ADA®, ALDA and the Birmingham District Dental Society. He is also trained through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine to provide alternatives to CPAP therapy for sleep apnea. He is passionate about educating his patients on the connection between dental care and overall health.
A. Mechay R. Gray, DMD
Dr. Gray completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Montevallo in 2013 before attending the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry, where she graduated in 2018. She has special training from the AAFE for BOTOX® and dermal fillers, and completes continuing education courses every year to stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Gray is a proud member of the ADA, ALDA and the Birmingham District Dental Society.
Dr. Gray has been practicing in Birmingham for three years. Her goal as a dentist is to help her patients smile more confidently by receiving personalized care in a kind and comfortable environment.
The Doctors Gray have a son, and two daughters. They are involved at Christ Fellowship Church and enjoy spending time outdoors and loving on their kiddos.
